What gives? A couple of my posts on FNB have been deleted. For all the complaining around here about moderation at AAAC, I've never had a single post deleted over there.
What did you say in your deleted posts? We cannot take a view without more information.
On Ask Alex and Sleaze Forum, the Mods just ignore the rules and ban you on a whim.
Alden and Costi have deleted numerous posts on the London Lounge. They censor any criticism of their favourite houses, presumably "sponsors".
We await FNB's response...
In the "The Japanese meant something different, as did Flusser..." thread I suggested the OP use the search function since his question has been discussed many times on this forum. I then made the comment that the guys over here talk more about "trad" than the guys on the trad forum. That's it.
I don't post very much on FNB, but I'm confident that I've never criticized any of the posters here or their posts. I thought my post above was innocuous and can't understand why it was deleted twice.

Although I really dont think I have any such obligation to not delete posts, the only posts I delete are from spammers. Really, this site generally believes the antidote for any sort of speech is more speech.
Mr. Shooman should be able to upload photos without issue.
Yet a whole bunch of obvious troll threads and general Andyland-style dumbness has not been deleted. Based on recent threads here and on Talk Ivy it appears the iGents are winning. But fuck them - they can't take away the old threads, of which even the weakest is better than the best SF and Andy threads.
Even though I responded to it, I think the OP should have been deleted, if anything...
I defend my response to this weak query because I included a bit of genuine 'Merican native historical perspective to entertain the "Ivy" set from Blighty that hangs around here.
I'm new but what attracted me to the fold is the merciless critique of the inanities that emerge when labels take on a life of their own.
Dang, I thought that was what we were supposed to talk about...
I caught the original post and it was very dismissive, stating that the trad debate is over and that Philly Joe is too late enter into the affray. Of course, the trad debate is perennial, just like every few months we will get Chenners posting something forgettable about sprezza'. It will not go away.
Philly Joe is a great new addition. His words should be left to stand without a PS from 'elsewhere' patronisingly telling people to use the search function and saying that we, the original contrivers of the online popularity of 'Trad', talk about the subject more than the lame-assed 'Trad' forum do.
Jim.
It's not even that.
Creative people or those who spark creativity in others are always welcome.
I'm just bored with spammers & those with agendas which don't interest me.
I'm like that. Why would I not be?
Jim.
Good ol' R_S is back deleting posts again - and changing avatars on me. I thought this place was Devil's Island where almost anything goes, but I can't express the slightest disagreement with R_S without getting my posts deleted. What gives?
You were being a prick & thanks to you Russell rang me up & woke me up.
I've sent you a PM.
Quite whining like a girl.
Jim
He's alright, he just wants to moderate Talk Ivy & I won't let him. Again this morning I've had to tell him yet again that the world doesn't need two 'Trad' forums - The point of Talk Ivy is that it's an alternative to cater for those with a different POV.
Diversity & all that, don't you know. Opening up the subject of classic American menswear to everybody.
Best,
Jim
