Does the first website refer to A. Caraceni, operated by Mario Caraceni?

Or are they one in the same?

Thanks, it did clear up a few things. Apparently, www.caraceni.com, www.caraceni.it and www.campagna.com all go to the same place: Gianni Campagna's Caraceni.
www.caracenisartoria.com goes to Ferdinando Caraceni(who passed away in late '04,  as the store told me). The site's been under construction since his death, but you can still send e-mails.
I've heard and seen that both A. Caraceni-Milan and Tommy/Giulio(sp) Caraceni in Rome have email addresses, but you may have to search other fora for them.

That's what I'm hearing. I've also read repeatedly that Campagna will, unsolicited, send a suit to a celeb, then claim him/her as a client. I guess even at the top, you've got to hustle.

True, it hasn't been verified, so I'll leave that one alone.  I like the fabrics he uses, but after seeing a couple of his jackets, I, too, don't see what the fuss is all about, especially after seeing some of the work coming from A. Caraceni. Wow! Now that, to me, is craftsmanship!!!

I don't trust anyone with that much ego(especially not at $10,000.00+ per suit)!!! Also, I've always notice that the truly most talented people, in ANY field, are usually also the most humble.

I'll bring the cheese and milk...
Anyway, I've read from Silk City(a Caraceni customer) that younger Caracenis are now being trained to take the reigns after the older gentlemen retire, so that's good to hear, at least.

No thanks, I'll just stick to the 4 digit costs of more exceptional tailors!
All that service and quality without any of the hype or braggadocio.
