I thought this commentary might strike a chord with some of you here.
Sator , I'm just reading a library book , " The SteamPunk Bible" by Jeff Vandermeer. Lots of good illustrations. But it won't cause me to post questions about making my own frock coat on your forum. Unless RS makes me.

Honestly, I find both the iGent drape coat and the Steampunk frock coat to be equally ghastly.
Here is a good documentary on Edward VIII/Duke of Windsor entitled "The UK's Nazi King Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor: Traitor & Enemy of Britain"

Oh yes, I just noted that Prince Albert, after whom the frock coat is named, is the Duke of Windsor's German great-grandfather.

Should I be ashamed I don't even know what a drape coat is? I just like nice clothes, don't kill me.

Did someone say 'conspiracy theory' ahem, it's true there were of course high society Nazi sympathisers in the UK, the members of the Nordic League for one, who were ideologically attuned and also the other types that may have not been sympathisers, but clearly didn't want war to occur, and thought some type of deal could be struck the Adolf in the years prior to WW2.

I thought that it was well known that the little dook was brought back from France, after Paris fell, because of Churchill's threat of a Court Martial and, after that, he was swiftly bundled off to be Governor of the Bahamas - about as far away from capture by Adolf (and 'restitution') as possible. He liked speaking German but then the little fellow was largely German. We lost our truest royal inheritance when we (or our ancestors) chucked James II. The royal blood of the Windsors does not run very true to the King and Martyr His Late Majesty King Charles I and, for any so-called Parliamentary democrats out there, I say this: "What a balls up you have made of it all". The best thing that ever happened to you was seeing Olly Cromwell's rotting head on a spike.
