I wear them with British sports jackets rather than Ivy stuff

Officer pinks are specific WWII US officer trousers with a magnificent permanent crease and although a light khaki colour can under certain sunlight conditions take on a unique pink hue.

Of that's what those are. Tend to be on wealthy older men who are potentially going to back some young start-up we meet. I'm rolled in to talk about their business and help convince the older guy (who I'm now basically the same age as)
