Call me a philistine on philosphy. To be honest with you I don't even know what exactly the word means. I think I care more for the extrateresstials.
Safe journey and don't do anything I wouldn't do.
Time to resume talk about my past bespoke experiences. For a change today I'd like to talk about a really good one.
Maurice Sedwell
Ever since Maurice Sedwell took over Tommy Nutter's premises on Savile Row, I was always fascinated by their jackets on display in the window. I found them innovative yet not out of line. About 12 years ago I decided to have a go and was met by Mr. Andrew Ramroop, who is both a cutter and a tailor. Right from the start when he began to ask about all my details requirement to the first and second fittings I knew I was in for a treat. I just couldn't wait to see the suit being completed.
On the collection afternoon I was completely over the moon when I saw myself in the new suit in the mirror. After a round of catwalk in the showroom on Mr. Ramroop's request I was ready to take it off, pay up and go. Suddenly he asked me not to take the jacket off and go back to the fitting room. He then had a thorough inspection on the two sides of my shoulders and said I couldn't take the suit away because the two shoulders weren't even and he had to put a little bit more padding in the left due to my left shoulder drops slightly lower than the other side. I explained to him I didn't mind to take it as it's and had a plane to catch the next morning. He insisted alteration needed be done and asked if I could come back at 7.30 that evening as he was willing to stay on longer to finish the job. That's what I call dedication.
Marc,
Don't Mr. Ramroop and Mr. Morgan work togehter at Maruice Sedwell?
Marc,
If Mr. Ramroop still travels to US himself to measure and fit clients up then you must give him a try. He is very dedicated and a prefectionist. The pants he makes have a lot of hand work.
Does this Ramroop specialize in Citrus flavors?
lt's great to have you on board Doc Muller. Your posts are highly informative, very interesting, and very much appreciated.

Doc,
Very informative posts on Savile Row - much appreciated. Do you have any experience of Anderson & Sheppard, or any ex-A&S cutters such as Tom Mahon?
