These are nice pieces and not too unreasonable in price given their relative rarity in RTW. I think the lapel roll looks rather nice in the picture.

I like that SB grey with peaked lapel.

I'm rather ignorant of the wearing of DB jackets, but would they, were you to buy them in an RTW line, require more "alteration tailoring" to get right?  I only ask because for me, when I go RTW SB jackets from my usual place, there is some altering beyond the usual that they do that makes it fit right.

DB are no more difficult to alter than SB.

Although designers are useful for some things, they never did rplace the standard suit jacket styles. And because of this, they will continue to recycle the different jacket types. This has the effect that peak lapels are in the mainstream mind and not at all considered affected but in two years, I wonder if some people wont consider you dated. Not that that should be a problem but people make stupid decisions when theythink theyre in the know.

But DB suits for me are more fashionable than ever when no one else is wearing them. But, yes I am convinced that they also loom on the horizon for the designers. How else could they get everyone to throw out their one button peak lapel suits?

Not sure why I always buy grey when it is brown I am in the market for but this is no exception here.  I just found the website at the link posted above and that suit in pearl is to die for.  I must have it.

I am getting a few MTM suits from Kilgour. I like the cut of their suits.  2 fabrics in Harrisons Mystique cloth and one in a Holland and Sherry target book. The H and S suit is going to be DB. It is a gray with a very faint chalkstripe. I await the results eagerly.

Paul Stuart's pick-stitching is, as they say on VH1, awesomely bad LOL.

I was in Saks this past weekend looking at the new DB Kiton coats that just came in and, sadly, the Kiton stuff makes Paul Stuart look like a suit you get on sale at JC Penny's for USD89.99.

I need to stop torturing myself smile

Cheers.

I understand that designers will be showing a lot of DB in their collections this year. Should be interesting.

Looked at it and looked at it and just do not care for DB and cannot learn to do so.
