The babies have arrived! Thanks for sharing, sloaney, and enjoy them. Coincidentally, I have the same 2 collars---Most of my MS shirts have the moderate spread collar but I have a few with the cutaway collar. If the second shirt is French blue, I should be receiving an order of FB shirts from MS this week. You better get that private equity position to fund your expensive tastes in shirts!
Thank you for sharing such beautiful shirts with us.
glad you area enjoying he pics
6 more to come eventually - after i wash/wear these 3 times and provide feedback to them
i am seriously contemplating returning to rome again to have mimmo and francesca see me wearing them....
Thanks for sharing the photos, Sloaney. I'd prefer the collar on the white shirt, as it seems less extreme. But they're both terrific.
Regards,
Steven
Beautiful shirts, thanks for sharing!

I think we would have to see the shirts tried on to evaluate the two collars.
Sloaney, have you tried them on yet?
The shirts look very nice if only judged by the collar stitching and the reputation of Siviglia. I do not like the wide spread collar, but that is a bit of personal aesthetics. I find that they don't look good on me, not on very many people. YMMV. The bottom shirt is also a blue that I find too dark, but like above that is personal.
As has been said many times in many places, there is no real judging of any piece of clothing unless it is being worn. The most beautiful shirt in the world is crap unless it fits well. I am sure that these do, but the pictures would be more useful with a person inside, no?
C'mon, guys.
Sloaney was gracious enough to share his love of Sig. Siviglia's craftsmanship and what he was able to do for Sloaney. Should we really judge it by whether or not Sloaney's style looks good on us?
Style's an individual thing, and none of us have the perfect formula for what's best. The most we can hope for is finding what we each feel would be best for us. Sloaney's found something that works for him(and pretty damn well, too!!!). *Applause* Bravo, sir. Bravo!!!
BTW, sloaney, if you can post a pic of something in a twill, I'd really appreciate it.
What?
What's life without just a little hypocrisy, huh?

MS has about 250 different collar styles as templates to then apply the client's specific measurements, and they really are skilled at pin-pointing the most flattering style(s). If the decision of collar style were left to me, I'd still be deciding With a longish neck, they chose a particular collar (moderate spread) that rises slightly on my neck, covering a bit extra neck and minimizing its length, but not too high as to look conspicuous. Nobody else had been able to achieve this fit with my neck, let alone a dozen other quirks that have to be accommodated. Fit is a key part of the art and science of shirtmaking.
I have tried the shirts on, and they fit fine. I did something quite stupid - I accidentally put the white shirt in a harsh cycle (wash and tumble dry) and now the shirt looks a little wrecked. Hopefully it is still possible to save it. What a nice way to blow a tiny fortune.
On another note, my laundry service offers, for the same price, a service of machine-washing, hang-drying in a steam room, and hand ironing shirts... is this acceptable for Siviglia shirts?
Oh, and regarding the wrecked shirt... Soak it in warm water and mild detergent for a few minutes, then rinse in water with a bit of white vinegar, gently but firmly stretch the shirt along the collar, sleeves and body, hang and let air dry. When almost dry, iron the long seams and collar while gently stretching them (avoid gliding over seams and collars, just press). The shirt should come back to life again.
