I find the whole situation rather amusing. Nobody cared enough or expended the minimum of effort to search for an obvious phrase like "I met Vaclav" to come up with this thread: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=16252
I can't quite pinpoint the moment that SF "jumped the shark" for me, but at some point I started finding the information posted to be less informative and interesting. A flood of newbies started asking the same old questions and then answering each other with misled opinions. The black suit thread was resurrected and its mouldering carcass paraded around again. The Golden Age thread marked some sort of watershed for me. Then there's Vanity . . .

It seems this is the only forum where you have always been welcome.
