In the good old bad old days - accused of fraud - I wound up talking to a former FBI agent on his cellphone in Nevada. Nothing came of it. Then there was one who said what a pity it was our cities hadn't been burned to ashes in 1940. Oh, and the skinhead BNP type who threatened to come round and duff me up. Nothing came of that, either.
On the plus side, I first met Staceyboy via Ebay.
Yes - Ebay can bring you into contact with the vast, untapped supply of mad people that is America. However, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and the great majority of people I've dealt with, especially in the US, have been very decent, friendly and obliging, to be honest.
It seems that some sellers are having to drop bid prices as the market won't bear their steep asking price.
Pricey 46 short brown/tan houndstooth from Brooks. Old Makers.

From the era when Sears sold proper clothes. The price is a bit extravagant, though. Size seems to be closer to 39 long.

The latest wheeze, if you're selling on EbayUS from the UK, is that the buyer pays PayPal not the seller.
I've never gone into being a pusher on Ebay, and having read all of this, it seems too fraught with danger. I will be giving it a miss for my cast offs.
For what it's worth, I've always combed EbayUK for Ivy. Vintage items are almost invariably cheaper. I bought a beautiful Brooks overcoat (maybe from the 60s) for £10 from a lady in Birmingham. This things do turn up, believe me, amidst the dross.
Someone snagged an awesome deal, wish I hadn't missed out on this:

If it happened to be someone here, I'll purchase one of these from you, tee hee.
typhoidjones has some decent stuff on at the moment. EbayUSA.
Not exactly an appealing name, is it? But I won the dark grey Shaggy Dog Harpo pointed me to.
Rather ding dong I thought...

I took delivery of a jacket from the same seller today. I can recommend him, reasonable and quick.
I like that a lot. Reminds me of the jackets CE wore in Dirty Harry albeait with a slimmer lapel.

Beware some chancers who want $57 to ship a $49.99 chambray shirt to the UK.
this happened to you recently Andy? Did they amend the postage cost after you had bought it?
No, no. They're up front about it, I'll give them that. I mean, how come others will ship a shirt for less than half that?
Who knows. Just chancing there arm I guess. Maybe the find it exhausting to say the words 'United kingdom please'.
if i understand the post in the US correctly, international postage means they'll have to actually go down to the post office instead of just putting on stamps and letting the postman collect it.
but also ebay is to blame for suggesting to sellers that they use International Priority Mail (which means ebay make more money via PayPal, because the total cost is higher).
