Time To Come Out Of The Closet: Who Are The Lurkers On This Fora?

With 18,000+ views on one thread alone in this fora, and countless other views, lurkers are no doubt, well, lurking on this fora on a consistent basis.  You know who you are, and I'm curious as to who you are, as well.  Post either your regular fora moniker or your actual first name.  WTF, post any name you like.

Should sock puppets post separately, or list all names in a single post?

I guess I'm mostly a lurker on all of the fora.

Oh, yeah: I'm Tyto.

Guilty.  I read all the time, but only really care for David's posts.

Every time I log on and read Terry (my man-crush) I feel like one of the senseless chattering Banderlog monkeys in The Jungle Book hypnotized by Ka the python…I am seduced by his rhythm and style.  I’d let him take me body and soul.  I am sure that others feel this way as well and cannot help but log on.

I realize he’s totally full of shit and every bit the snake, but I can’t help myself.  I can’t help but think he’s long and Lean. Please never post a picture, Terry if you are not.  I pray you are not fat and bald.

Re: Time To Come Out Of The Closet: Who Are The Lurkers On This Fora?

just had to respond to the invite. isn't everyone on the fora, registered or otherwise in the closet so to speak. only able to share the delight of the details of his wardrobe here. i have been using the same tailors since i left school 16 years ago. i experimented with approximately 10 tailors for 1 year and settled upon my present set of tailors. One for shirts and the other for trousers. still it required many revisions of length and width of cut fabric to make the nicest and most comfortable set of clothes for myself. i wear bespoke shirts, trousers and pyjamas and the occasional suit. and since i am now on the wrong side of 40 and my tailors the wrong side of 60, i have recurrent thoughts of death. not mine of course( which would not pose the problem) but my tailors. i have decided to make enough clothes in the next five years to obviate the satorial risk. have you planned for your future?

Re: Time To Come Out Of The Closet: Who Are The Lurkers On This Fora?

I'm Mick. I entered the world of online fashion fora after a search for 'Corneliani' yielded an AAAC thread; shortly after I joined Styleforum. I joined this site as I have always found the posts of FNB, Mr Grayson, Horace et al to be entertaining and educating. I don't post because i don't know who the best shirtmaker is, what makes a butterfly loafer butterfly; if Poole is superior to Fallan & Harvey etc.  The 'mood' at Styleforum seemed to suit me the most (I'm 22), so i generally post there the most. I visit here and AAAC periodically to learn a thing or two about formal clothing. Good Day.

Re: Time To Come Out Of The Closet: Who Are The Lurkers On This Fora?

There is no shame more painful in this life than internet shame and I have to admit that I did indeed try to pass off a photograph of my great friend Lord H. as one of myself.
I have lied to the forum and I am very sorry.
But when you see that picture of me with my banana I think you'll understand why I did it.
All I ask is that you do not judge me too harshly.

Lord H. has taught me a lesson here today and it is one which I promise I will not forget. Thank you, L.H.

And thank you also for not showing the forum the rest of my fruit and veg based portfolio. I know I spammed you with endless shots of me sporting in the greengrocers... Thank you especially for keeping the "Which is the real cucumber?" photos under wraps. It's not that I'm ashamed of them, it's just that I don't think everybody would quite understand exactly what it was that I was trying to convey. Art is like that, isn't it?

David

Purely as a PS to all this - I have quite a lot of green body-paint still left over...
It's a little bit depressing to be honest just how much I have left over, but never mind.
Do you think I should sell it on SF or AAAC?
I'd be happier if it was out of the house.
