Re: What's Cooking?

I ate callaloo, saltfish and fried chicken yesterday at a West Indian takeaway.  Now that's what I call a balanced diet!

Re: What's Cooking?

I had kedgeree the other night - at the National Gallery restaurant. I find kedgeree always gives me a 'Bertie Wooster at Aunt Agatha's for breakfast' kind of vibe.

Re: What's Cooking?

As a Christmas treat, why not try roast suckling Chinsfold?  Or capon Stedman a la chancer?  Each looks scrumptious on the dining table, eyes staring lifelessly, and with an orange in its mouth.  Serve with gently boiled Goodfella in a bumboy sauce.

Re: What's Cooking?

Bumboy sauce is mostly chutney with only a small amount of ferret.  Quick and easy.

Re: What's Cooking?

What's Cooking:

What does it really mean?"
And why did you insert "hehehehe"? This is an expression used in English books by people being consciously evil or at least naughty. When we see that, we assume your question is a trick one. Be very careful how you use these laughing abbreviations; sometimes they have a different meaning. Better don't use them at all.

" What's cooking?" means, "What's happening? What's going on?"

Re: What's Cooking?

This is a useful spam bump.

Got the young nephew from Aberdeen staying, plus his mate and dutch g/f along sometimes plus one of my offspring, plus partner at times. Needed cunning plan - those buggers can eat too much - no lamb cutlets for them, no expensive stuff.

cooking up curries and also spag bol sauce.

any other cheap, not so nasty, mass feeding solutions welcome.

It should be summer (ish) and chap snags on barbie - but its been a cold snap.
