Has anyone had anything made up from the Harrisons Moonbeam book? On the face of it, it seems to offer a nice compromise between country and smarter wear for an odd jacket and the weight (11-13oz I think) would suggest that it could be worn for 3 seasons (in the UK) at least. Does anyone have any experience of whether it tailors/wears well? How hot does it run etc?
Many thanks in advance.

^^ Thanks Formby - might give it a try in the new year.
I have a length of this to be made up into a suit, although I may chicken out and get the jacket first. I was also thinking of doing a city colors version of my section 8 jacket but with only 4 body panels in a complete vertical vs 8 different ones.
The fabric looks soft and strong, strong enough for pants if lined, although I do not recommend this for a suit unless youre mad or a dandy. It will also wear warm on the body. Probably will be comfortable outside and turn beastly hot in central heating. Usually what happens to me is I am fine until I get frisked at one of the larger buildings and trapped in a crowded elevator with an overcoat on. By the time I arrive, I am swimming in my shirt. My tailor has made it up many times and says it tailors well.
