in chatting with the young man, he told me how much he paid for the shirt he was wearing. the worst crime was the one commited by the man who sold him the shirt. The poor boy was completly taken advantage of by a tailor who saw his naievety.

I think the kid is the best-dressed of them all.
But I am tired of seeing two-piece dark blue suits.
They should be banned, for a year or two.
I got a laugh from the photo showing the exhibitors during the setup: they are dressed in jeans & running shoes!
So their dress-up clothes are dress-up clothes!
(...and they look like every other schmo the rest of the time.)

I live in my own universe, but kids just starting out get my support.
Yeah, they make choices that we might not - but we should remember back when we started out and those first steps that we made.
All the psuedo 'experts' are fair game, but the next generation need the best that we can pass on to them. They can then rejected it or accept it as suits them best.
I take my 'role' here incredibly seriously...

It's all posturing.
Why, the esteemed Manton admits to looking terrible on the weekends. I wonder if he wears cut-offs and NASCAR tee-shirts?
Where was last year's superstar mmethaw?
I just wonder what happened to him after that infamous according to TG qoute.

Why is the lawyer Ed Hayes in that awful tee-shirt? Is it Gaultier, I wonder.

The diptych of an esteemed menswear authority posed with two internet haberdashers is most disappointing. I would question his choice of "man bag" except it barely looks like a man's!
I noticed that small bag myself. It barely looks like a satchel and perhaps might be some cheap pleather camcorder/camera case from the '70s.
As regarding that striped shirt, I would think Manton looks even more terrible on week-ends--probably wears stuff that even the most seasoned of the thrifty street-wear fans would cringe at.
And what's with the gratuitous inclusion of a picture of Kabbaz's son?

Although the cut of his jacket isn't my cup of tea, I like Mr. Boyer's ensemble very much, especially the corduroy trousers.
