Spa, style.

What do you wear, for the spa?

Two days Sunday I try to enter, the Turkish sauna, in mocc loafers (which I reserve, for this occasion), and the strong lady, told me no street shoes were, permited.

On most occasion, I bring a large robe,Saffron stripe, and my Jam shorts.

This might be one of the few places where those nasty "flip-flops" are acceptable.

Re: Spa, style.

I like the big white towel more than the robe and to use the hair clippers on the chest first (I cannot wax or I would look 12, so willowy am I).

Sauna hair is an important area in discussing Spa Style, I think ... On the head do you slick back or allow to fall forward in attractive strands to brush your brow thus making yourself look like the young Dirk Bogarde?

To shave, the legs, is unmanful. IMO.

Re: Spa, style.

This would make me cry I think. Also unmanful.
Probably the most manly and brave way to remove the hair from the legs is to set them on fire.
I wouldn't recommend any forum menber here to do this, but anybody from the other forums might like to give this a try & report back.
We look to you guys to set the pace when it comes to these advancements.

Wonderful 1890's Spa Style in Harrogate, Yorkshire.

I used to go here on & off with my late Uncle George.
We were told off for whistling last time we went...
Afterwards we'd always go to the pub before going back home to listen to his old Jazz records & to hang around smoking whilst talking rubbish...

One afternoon we invented 'The Encyclopedia Sexualis' - An obscure publication in which we catalogued invented deviant acts inspired by mutual friends and family members...

'Lennoxism' was erotic pleasure derived from showing off your garden, as I recall.

To 'Walkerate' was to engage in mutual boasting about property values for mutual pleasure.

'Bensonism' was a solitary vice linked to the enjoyment of vacuum cleaning.

We could revive this game for FNB maybe -

'Jovanism', To 'Teacherate', to engage in a bout of 'Connemaraism'...

Harmless fun.

Re: Spa, style.

To 'Russellate': To derive pleasure from wasting time. The more time wasted, the better the buzz.

Do please join in.

(Unless you are a 'Grey-Flannelator': One who derives pleasure from being serious...)

Also can I encourage all 'Howardists' to make themselves known?

'Howardating' in public is fine these days.

This is 2007, after all...

Terry, do you lie face-down or face-up on the spa benches?

Re: Spa, style.

Sorry to confuse things.

The Hammam  (sp?) is another nice word.

To treat your earlier question seriously:

No.

Tradsexualism seeks to limit Tradsex to narrow parameters within the prescribed curriculum of Tradstatic experience. It is too meager and unsatisfying for any but the grossest deviant to ever be able to achieve Tradgasm by those means.

Tweedsexualists paint on a broader canvas.

Re: Spa, style.

I won't post a link but the chain of 'Chariots' Saunas are probably the closest London has to an upmarket NYC bath house in the BoysTown meaning of the name. Not as hardcore & seedy as NYC, but still the same idea... The Basement Sauna in Manchester is another BoysTown enterprise.
No one can remember which bath house I got tricked into visiting in the mid-80's in NYC, but I remember it as very functional with a strong smell of either chlorine or Amyl Nitrate or both. Lots of standing & lounging around staring etc.
I am reminded that I made a name for myself that night by saying in a loud English voice 'But where's the piano?'
I haven't a clue what I was on about.

Redundant to mention this but I am merely sociable and interested in style. All offers of marriage by PM will be gently refused. I'd miss Mrs Leans quiche too much.
