l have asked FNB to lock my thread but so far no reply; hopefully he will today. Anyway...lets get back to the topic.
Carmina hand sewn Balmoral boots for London Lounge project http://true-bespoke.blogspot.com/2008/05/carmina-oxford-boots.html
Jon sent me an e-mail saying that he is working on my patterns this week and will likely be sending the fitting models out to me next week.
Stefano Bemer http://horween.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/stefano-b/
Stefano Bemer is sooo amazing.
Have you seen the Stefano Bemer MTO's at John Cutler's? The best shoos in Oz. l was going to go up there and try for a special order shoo, but i'm saving for something even bigger now. People in Europe are so lucky having access to shoos like that. Pity we live so far away. lmagine how amazing it must be to own Stefano Bemer bespoke, it kills me that l don't have access to such amazing makers. Stefano and some of the French shoemakers excite me very much...definitely make it very difficult to sleep at times.
Very nice. Very light interior color. You know, it can be be a mistake wearing brand new custom shoes all day. I have rubbed the flesh off my heel more than once and more recently than you can imagine. Sometimes you want to wear them for a couple hours at a time to break them in.
That's a nice color. On Jon's bio, it says he does shoes for a lot of theatrical performances. it would be fascinating to hear his opinions on the role and outfits that spectators go with amongst other things. I dont think there are that many American shoe makers and their approach to our heritage would be very interesting.
Very nice.
How about a close up of the sole stitching and a pic of the waist please?
Can you also give us good detail on the fit please. Does the fit need any tweeking or do they fit very very well?
What is the spi of the sole stitching?
Come on E.g...details please.
