I've started doing this on your advice Moose.Good Herringbone is a rare beast in the boys vintage section though. Blue blazers are 10 a penny. One has been on my radar for weeks but slipped back when I saw that herringbone.
A few weeks ago I got a madras sack from the vintage boys section. Size 20. It's been delivered to my folks place so I'll have to wait a few weeks to see it. It's apparantly beautifully soft shouldered and the colours very muted. My dad was more than a little jealous. My first US made undarted jacket too. So thanks a hell of a lot for your advice Moose.
Big l, there is a hawick made half fair isle in the charity shop, it is a very small mens and about six quid. Do you want me to buy it blind, it's quite nice. Not amazing but still a cheeky buy.
Cheers, might be interested. What do you mean by half Fair Isle though? Like a Fair Isle yoke?
Not so much a yoke, kind of a half way house in that the pattern from the chest up is straight across, not curved like the yoke
Those measurements are hard to decipher. The 17 shoulder suggests a 36 or 38, but of the 18 pit to pit is correct, it is more like a 34 with two inches of ease.
Sorry if I've upset anyone, that jacket is in plain view to anyone who uses 'herringbone' in their search....as that size seems hard to come by I just thought some of you might appreciate a 'heads-up'......
Ok well i just bought it any how with that in mind. I'll put a photo up later and you can say yay or nay. No worries to me either way!
A good move probably. Nice to know you've got my 6.

Not my style at all I have to say. I'm sure you'll make something off of it on ebay though. Like I said, it's 'bang on trend'.
Thanks again. A kind thought.

My old dear has already offered me a tenner, I'm £4 up! It does look a touch Indie doesn't it. Not that she would know, or care.
Well there you go. As long as you make your Mum happy then it's a good call.
Best
low price and BIN for these cool '60s near-deadstock suede dessies, suited for anyone with little girl sized feet:

That first one's a beaut (the fifties style loop collar).
I like No. 3, but haven't a clue about etsy.
In my experience, it's been ok, got a nice Wrangler cord jacket, and waiting on a pair of shoes. Actually preferring it to ebay these days as all I ever find on there is either too big, or a shop!! You usually have to use the other devil (paypal) but as a buyer you get that non delivered item protection. I works as more of a community, but have as yet to try selling on there.
Mm. Thanks for that, Tom. Some Ebay sellers are offering that, too. I do use PP on Ebay, but still prefer to pay in dollars when I can.
