John Cassavetes

Robert Redford was apparently first choice to play Guy Woodhouse in 'Rosemary's Baby'.  Then Jack Nicholson.  Thank heaven Paramount cast John Cassavetes instead.  (Nor was Mia Farrow the first choice for Rosemary).  Cassavetes' Guy looked pretty untrustworthy from the beginning, but his rapid costume changes made up for it.  I love the gold (I guess it is)-coloured v-neck he is wearing when Rosemary serves him beer and sandwiches.  It looks like decent, thick wool (Shetland?  It is supposed to be chilly outdoors early on in the movie).

I thought Old Nick had the best part...Fuck the sandwiches...he gets to fuck the chick...!!

Ruth Gordon's good as well in a support role. Creepy as fuck...but from Satan to Clyde...WTF is that all about....

Re: John Cassavetes

Rosemary's husband also had intercourse with her, earlier on, after their indoor picnic.  'Fuck the chick' indeed!

Re: John Cassavetes

Apologies.  I'd wondered why the original posting in the other thread was skimpy.  There must be other references, too, on here to Guy's clothing choices.
