Whereas I tend to see the death of the 60s and the true beginning of the 70s with the re-election of Nixon in 1972.
An astute friend of mine once remarked that for most Americans "the 60s" really occurred in the '70s. That was certainly true in my own case.
Another good film that catches the 70's flavour perfectly is Boogie Nights. This film, set in the late 70's Californian porn industry captures the decadent mood, fashions and music perfectly. A great looking film besides the obviously attractive subject matter and the casting of Burt Reynolds as the pornographer-in-chief was a master-stroke.
One of my favourite films of the 90's.
