Great stuff, Liam. You can't go wrong with a good roots folk music murder ballad. That's why Paul Simon couldn't cut the grade when he tried to break the folk music scene in the UK back in the 60s.
This is my favorite muder song, complete with award winning video:

Johnny Cash was a great shapeshifter having renaissance after renaissance. My favourite period was that latter period just before his death. Such staggeringly honest work. Very hard to listen to at times but beautiful nonetheless.
Dylan's another shapeshifter and his early visions of America are sort of what kick started my love affair with the country.
I'm sympathetic of his late 60-mid/late 70's that I know alot of other Dylan fans don't dig so much.

What a band he put together during the recording of Desire. Emmylou Harris on backing vocals and the amazing gypsy violin of Scarket Rivera. That Rolling Thunder Revue would have been a sight.
Favourite song, recording, and performance of all time.

Do you know, I only just found this out, there was originally a girl in the line-up? She went on to front a 90's band I forgot the name of.
I saw the Beasties in Scotland at T in the Park in 98' I think, I had to stand through the Robbie WIlliams set so I was at the front for when they came on, yes I like them that much.
Robbie Williams in 98 must have been terrible. Even worse than just normal RW he must have still been in that phase were he though he was Liam Gallagher?
Maximum respect for enduring.
I know, tour of duty that was. And it was raining.
This was very much a classic from the year before.
