Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

In this thread the guys get on the original poster for walking funny and not taking care of his boots, which are falling apart. More importantly, it's another example of someone who refuses to get on the phone — in this case, with whoever sold him the boots. I guess it's just more efficient to solicit opinions from strangers, thousands of miles away, based on photos.

On day two the OP sent an email to Mr. Herring his ownself. Progress!

Not really inane but a classic AAAC question:-
http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?115951-First-Trip-to-the-Symphony

I only mention it because I love the way Spokane Symphony rolls off the tongue

I laughed out loud at this reply from Starch

''Of course, this is Spokane. The less-than-charitable might suggest your nicest pair of overalls.''

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

I'd agree he has the look except for the break... and I would much prefer if everything was a little slimmer. Which was my original point. It's all a bit baggy in the thighs and puffy in the chest (look at that puffing of material under the left arm) and that makes it look a bit middle aged, on a guy who is still young. All just my opinion of course.

In terms of style I'd say 12BB (whose style is more readily comparabile to Jovans than Oo Bops) blows Jovan out of the water. They probably wear a lot of the same stuff but 12BB wears his trousers slimmer in the leg and his jackets don't have to battle against the onset of a premature middle age paunch like Jovans do.

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

I've only seen one photo of 12BB so I can't really compare.  (Are there more on the Ivy side of this forum?)  In all honesty, and no offence to Oo, I definitely prefer Jovan in that look to anything Oo has posted.

Apologies again for the earlier misidentification.
