Absolutely. It’s a bigger country and harder to move. It’s not a flamboyant place. That’s a good word for what I was saying about before, what got lost around 1975. If there was ever an American flamboyance, it happened in those 25 years from 1950 to 1975, and it had to do with the blues, R&B, rock ’n’ roll, big cars, and giant breasts.

Thanks. He really stresses what I find boring about modern acts...Coldplay being a particular case where they think cool is getting you to buy 3rd world coffee. If I wanted politics I would go see a politician not a rock band.

he he - I liked his tale about the Coldplay bloke being dressed by a stylist - I certainly detect no Lust For Life in Coldplay

Iggy was/is a fun guy. I once helped hoist him over the crowd at the Whisky-a-Go-Go. This would have been about 1973.

An ex-girlfriend of mine was in the music business at the time we were going together. She and Iggy were quite good friends. I strongly suspect she eventually went the "sisterly" route.
