Just picked a copy up mate, think it might be lost on the locals though. Released in 1964.

Aha I like Rebirth.

Now tell me kids, The Specials, 11 piece without Jerry, are coming to Melbourne at $100 a ticket. Sadly it's at the same venue where I was so disappointed with Toots.

Will they be worth $100, given all other things being equal?

Well I would definitely consider going, I went to see Neville Staples when he played in the Hague about 5 or 6 years ago and he was great. With Terry Hall singing as well.....a must see.

Re: Groovin' at the I Spot -

^Some great stuff up there!

Made the decision this evening that it was time to get the record player set back-up as the bambinos are at a sufficient age to respect the warm sound and precious beauty of records. Man, it sounds so much better than CD's. The only problem of course is space and the fact I've told the missus I've brought it out to check it all works before selling it on. Of course this is a white lie, to protect the innocent from my long term plan of a renaissance in my listening pleasure.

I'm getting a semi-erection just looking at all those Pacific Jazz and Blue Note originals, plenty of ska too. For a school night, its going to be a late one....
