Style Forum really has gone to shit, and even respected members seem to be going the same way.

Then when someone pulls him up and asks him to explain, he says nothing.

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

Some of these people have been on the message boards for a very long time. I find it astonishing that people could spend so much time on a subject and never get a feel for the subject matter; never improve. It would frighten me to spend time at something and never improve but it looks like I'm in the minority. Personally, the concept that I would be fascinated with something and not improve or get to be very good at it (or stop trying after a while) is alien to me. I suppose we live in a world of "Rudy"s who spend their entire lives obsessing over clothes for that 15 minutes where they get the perfect shirt and tie combination.

That post was written in a fit of passion, I actually find that quite commendable in Chenners. He is normally known for his stale and wooden prose, extracted by being flayed by a barbed wire of an imagined deadline as he has no real interest the subject matter and nor is he being paid for his musings, despite his insistance that he runs a media empire and a professional blog.

The great arkirshner chides a poster for 'mocking' a rule and for using photographs of children (university students) to support his case:-

Andyland slips the surly bonds of earth and enters a transcendent realm of pure inanity in this nerdy thread on loafers with suits. The smug passive agression from akirshner reaches record-breaking levels.

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

That Wasp 101 guy needs to write more I've shown his blog to so many people outside of this odd little online world we live in, and they love it, he has that whole Alan Partridge vibe going on, but completely unknowingly. I actually like to read Wasp 101 as it makes me laugh, Chen's underlings piss me off more than his blog, I mean look at the most recent post, a nice little piece, then some chump comes and turns it into an argument straight off. Like with the problems in Ireland, I sometimes wonder if there is any hope at all?

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

Remember that the comments section is curated, edited & contrived by Chensvold too. Dan Goodfella on behalf of Chensvold writes most of the posts under phony names (Single Needle, etc) to stir things up.

The whole thing's a fake.

At least Richard at WASP101 is really into what he's into. Chensvold is just the grumpy muppet of the non-existant  'Russell Street', hence his relentless ill humour.

I do get the impression Wasp loves what he does, probably to the point he is jus going to carry on regardless!
