I have no problem with that at all.
I'm not naturally a conformist, neither do I have an adolescent need to be seen to rebel, if anything people know I march to my own drum, but when I'm employed to represent others I take it seriously. And I want to do it well and to the best possible. If there is a chance of the issue (and I am often in the business of swaying public opinion for long term issues - if in a limited geographical area) derailing even slightly because of how I dress or present - then I adapt. Its because I want to do things on behalf of others well - not because I'm scared. I'm also not scared to conform if it works.
I have to say - and its taken me years to begin to understand and accept - that here is something about me that no matter how I'm dressed people seem to see a twinkle and a bit of Charlie Watts, Bryan Ferry and even a touch of Keith despite me thinking otherwise. Sometimes you have to listen to others. So even when I dress down or "conformist" I look "different" somehow. Thats why I begin to understand, and dress a tiny bit like, those Ivy cats over there.
The Nanker/Phelge Glimmer Twin of course. Never understood the fuss about Moon seemed like an idiot to me.
I like what Richards said. Paraphrased. " Don't you believe all that. No one could live like the mythologized Keith and still be alive"

Black Power Mixtape portrays some interesting clothing, especially if you are more interested in the real Street Beef than in the slightly distorted magazine style. However, I really like the Carlo Palazzi jacket.

I was in Dusseldorf the last two days, and it was hot with the ladies on the street dressed in their summer dresses and I have to say, German women have more finesse, style and sultry sexy confidence than any other European nation. And it's not only the aboriginal German ladies, the second generation immigrants have it too. I thoroughly approve and endorse this vision of multiculturalism and technical excellence that has allowed such a culture to thrive.
