They look amazing!!!...just as nice as any good bespoke maker. Pics hopefully will be posted in the middle of the night or tommorrow arvo.
And...John is going to make me another pair in brown boxcalf. Woot! That will bring the total of bespokes up to three, but if you include the Materna (by default), it is four pairs.
Here are the previous links which discussed the project:

When l get the two pairs of trees made l will post them. l also need to get a new last made, but not until l have worn the Pisa bespoke for a few weeks.
Wow, serious jack jumpers there.
Can we see them with your feet in them?

John (my maker) is the only man in Victoria that the factories ask to do hand sewn Aprons. The machine sewn ones can't get near the cleanness of the hand sewn ones. The machine sewn versions ruffles the leather too much so it's all lumpy and bumpy, but the handsewn versions keep it nice and smooth and clean.

The shoes are a very good snug fit, but l could suggest several areas where l could improve the fit to make it close to perfect. l can now understand why people get almost perfect fitting shoes after many years and several shoes with a bespoke maker....as the years go on, the shoe fit gets better and better. Having a long term relationship with a good bespoke cordwainer is a good idea.
shooey they look amazing! but good luck getting bruce to make trees, after 5 calls and a year i gave up on ever getting a pair from him, maybe in the near future ill be looking at springline for some new lasts and corresponding trees, although i love my shoes they just aren't what im looking for shape and fit wise, and i don't really feel like Bruce has the time for me. might be heading over to Ireland to see family later in the year, and England is just across the pond might have to make a trip to Northampton . keep it up and let me know when the blog goes live.
Wrigglez
wriggly - what you been up to?
If you book ahead Ryanair and other airlines over there can be a bargain you can throw away if it doesn't suit.
I got tickets from Aberdeen to Dublin for $25 aud each booking three months in advance. Another time I got Cork to Amsterdam for around $40aud.
Hello - new to the forum here, this is my first posting. Very grateful if you can send me in the right direction. I am trying to find out more about these Adelaides quarter-brogues... manufacturer/origin; made on or before 1948. Some features, such as the seamed curve near the oglets, are very unusual to my untrained eye. Many thanks in advance for any clues: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NMaQmkVRJcLyyieAl_u5w2UaBSHXc0XbzvHsYcoklcI/edit?usp=sharing
