Greetings slaves.
I'm in a house right on the surf beach, 100 metres. Wine, beer, fish , food, the sacred 'erb, alls cool.
Fans of the Rolling Stones might want to check out this 1964 filming of a television appearance, probably in the US, a live version of "It's all Over Now". A little too heavy on the screaming girls at the beginning, but remarkable to see the young(er) Jagger doing what, I believe, no one had really ever done before. Go to 2:25 to see him at his absolute best. The effect he's having is amazing--how could you not become addicted to that? His voice got better over the years and much of the music improved but I don't think the live appearances ever outdid this.

Levon Helm, Electric Dirt. Pretty good for an old coot, RIP.
I bought that on vinyl a couple of weeks ago and it has some really decent tracks, especially the opening one. Been getting plenty of air play in my household.

Lately been digging a Thongs made of barbed wire channel launched off of The Black Keys.
Suede....again and inspiral carpets.
^
Mmmm,
E'vry time I hear Suede I'm always reminded of Morrissey's jibe about Anderson: “He'll never forgive God for not making him Angie Bowie"
...but Morrissey doesn't get off scot free as the great Elvis Costello puts him down: “Morrissey writes wonderful song titles, but sadly he often forgets to write the song.”
I do love a waspish put down.
Anyway...back to '88 and one of the best albums of the decade IMO and her debut to boot...!
