Re: Sports Corner

He will always be remembered now for that killer goal.

It will definitely boost his confidence in the face of all the 'What a waste of money chants' he gets.

Joey Barton sent off. Had a pop at Aguerro after being sent off.

QPR down to 10 men.

Re: Sports Corner

American owners look at it in a purely business way. No sentiment.

They will have costed it all out and decided they can do better.

Liverpool seem to be a long way off the top 4 though.

Re: Sports Corner

Certainly seemed to be Chelsea 'destiny' to lift the trophy. I like the way John Terry muscled in on the celebrations despite not featuring in the final.

Athletico Madrid were far more impressive in Europa League final.

That crook Abramovitch still not giving interviews either.

I am watching more of Euro 2012 than I will the Olympics.

Quality viewing so far.  Netherlands v Germany coming up...

Re: Sports Corner

Crushed over the beating Ireland has taken in the Euro.  With some Irish lineage, and my other two ancestral foregrounds making me angry (England and France) I thought I would support the Emerald Isle in their underdog appearance.  Devasting loses in two games giving up 7 goals and scoring but one.  Spain landed the Armada on the shores today and dismantled them.  Sad but they weren't ready for this level of competition.  Oh well - Germany will be my revenge.
