Re: Party perm PM

First the purse party, and now the perm party. I didn't receive either one. I feel like such an outcast.

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.

Re: Party perm PM

Probably it's not for me Vaclav, but thank you for thinking of me.
I still like the idea of meeting up with you and the other guys you mention very much. I'm just thinking that if I come to the party and don't have a perm it might look rude to Hector and his wife. Does that make sense?

I'll think a bit more and get back to you with ideas for pre-perm and apres-perm activities to, as you say, "make, a bit, more of an evening of it".
I agree that there should be music and something to eat and drink. Quite what would be most appropriate for a perm-themed evening I'll need to ponder on.
Not sure about the live band idea.

My best to you and Mr. & Mrs. Hector (and I agree it would be wrong to mention their surname on the forum).

David

Re: Party perm PM

I think you have the nicest manners of anybody I have ever met.

I'm sporting an all over No.6 as of a couple of days ago (and yet I look nothing like Patrick McGoohan...). Smoothed down & side parted with moderate squared-off side-burns. Steve McQueen in 'Love With The Proper Stranger' has gone to my head a little...

And so I have little for Mrs Hector to perm, alas...
And yet in spirit I will be with you in the cool of the night in the shadows of the Beer Garden...
Drink a little Calvados and think of me...
Nod and smile at a stranger in my name.
I am always with you.
Do this in remembrance of me.
