Question of the day: how long does it take to put a thread underneath the lapel?
They got the suits and customers mixed up. The suit that Gill is wearing was made (as are so many by A&S these days) for this guy:

I had a conversation with him once about A&S vs Huntsman. He said the Huntsman that was made for him was like engineering but he preferred the softer A&S. I said I liked engineering.

AA Gill's stock in trade is being rude about others.
So I am sure he is used to brickbats coming his way.
Probably got the suit as a freebie anyway.
Is it me or are the igents trying to crap up Savile Row?
The iGents have no impact on the quality of Savile Row tailoring. The problem is that ill-informed iGents and journalists write nonsense that is taken seriously by potential or prospective customers. The real danger to Savile Row is rising rents. They are driving out tailors who are being replaced by fashion brands and other businesses that can afford them.
