Re: Geezer Ivy

People who choose to move to London are fine. It's the ones born here who are problematic. Most of them never leave their little 'manors' anyway and are always banging on about traffic and immigrants and their poxy football teams. London without the immigrants and the outsiders would be unbearable. A world full of cabbies! Lordy Lord....

Re: Geezer Ivy

One of my old bosses who had a promotion to a senior management position immediately took it upon himself to sack the planner who was from the Smoke in his usual delicate and caring manner, "There's two things I can't stand, one's contractors and the other is cockneys. You're both, so take your things because you're up the fucking road!"

Later that afternoon he told all the remaining staff that's how you deal with cockneys. Of course, Londoners should not be too worried, this took place in the barren provinces, somewhere North of Watford, so it's unlikely to ever to happen to you or be repeated.

Re: Geezer Ivy

Here we go again really isn't it?

Ergo: unless you come from a certain background, grew up in London and liked certain music when you were younger you have no credence and no business wearing ivy clothes.

There are certain echoes of the WASP/college fantasy projected on the other side of the Atlantic, are there not?

It's all bollocks. It's enough to appreciate the clothes and wear them well.

My current summer outfit is nothing but a bow tie and I'm rubbing one off to that handsome Mr Dyer picture...

People really should have to pass exams in online before they're allowed online.

For their sake.

Re: Geezer Ivy

I don't really listen to the music of my youth, though I still have all the vinyl.

Moved on like Mike Raven. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Raven

Raven was more Man in Black than Ivy, but he certainly knew his music.
