Here are some comments from the director of a certain store. These comments are very close to what was originally said:
l offer to bring them some good shoe customers to buy the smaller sizes out.
1). `No, please don't bring those people (a certain area of the world) in here, they are not welcome. We never want those type of people in our store. Just let them go to Gucci instead'.
When seeing my Vass F last oxford shoes.
2). `Your shoes look so cheap and ugly. Why don't you get some proper shoes so you look the part'.
When trying on some shoes in their store ready to buy.
3). `Those socks are terrible, you should always wear the best quality socks'.
When talking about G&G bespoke.
4). `Bleh, what a waste of money, they are not much better than the highend rtw. You blokes come in and choose to support overseas instead of us, that's always the trouble with you guys'.
Upon seeing some Vass wingtips on the budapest last.
5). `Those shoes look terrible, they look like $300 shoes. lt looks like you work in a factory'.
Those are the comments l can remember. Anyone else remember some strong comments from quality clothing retail stores?
btw: l wasn't bothered in the least by their comments. l rather people be upfront about their feelings about things.
"No, please don't bring those people (a certain area of the world) in here, they are not welcome. We never want those type of people in our store. Just let them go to Gucci instead".
Why don't they want Americans as customers?

I frankly can't recall a clothing retailer ever being rude to me or belittling my apparel. Maybe my size was intimidating...or they are just more polite in SoCal.
I have one of their jackets I got from the charity shop, it isn't that bad. But I'm not sure I'd be holding it up as an example of elite tailoring.
