Burgess, that sly-bugger, was known for the beautiful cut of his suits, whilst at the same time, their disrepair.  He never seemed to wipe off certain things he got himself into, if the accounts I've read about him are correct.

Loved that article.

That reminds me, has anyone seen the film 'The Good Shepherd'? About the beginnings of the CIA up to the Bay of Pigs. Although its a modern film, it has an OK grasp of the changing American styles I think.

Several times I have watched films and remarked to people afterwards about a shirt or tie to be met with general bemusement. But you have to notice these details.

Mod upbringing I suppose.
