l have always taken an interest in three people's shoos on this forum: formby, grayson and FNB. Luckily Grayson spilled the beans on his amazing collection in 2003, and he had a large collection of great shoos to die for and was one of the `shoo-kings' of the internet forums. But now l want to concentrate on a more humble collector of good shoos...our very own Formby. l've sometimes wondered what types of shoos Formby would wear and l have always guessed the following: mainly black shoes like wholecuts, cap toe oxfords, plain toe derby's, and probably all English goodyear welted shoos too.
So Formby....can ya spill the beans for us mate and tell us what stuff you wear on your feet. Here are some questions:
1). Do you mainly wear oxfords with your suits or do you mix it with derby's also?
2). What colour shoe is mainly worn with your suits?
3). Do you wear mainly leather soled shoes?
4). Do you ever wear rubber soled shoos to work?
5). Tell us about the designs of your work shoos?
6). What brands of shoos do you wear?
7). Tell us about your casual shoos.
Would you be so kind as to post a recent picture of those amazing G&G tan wholecuts? l still think about those awesome shoos.
Regards Formby: The Shooman.

^Snap! I have a pair of them, they're actually the "poor man's" Edward Green's Fiddle Vamp.

I do agree with Meister that E.G. have the edge over C&J's in terms of comfort. Aldens are also comfortable, more so than C&J's, but not as much as E.G.'s.
Nevertheless, I've owned more C&J's through the years than any other shoe make, so shouldn't knock them. But I have no loyalty to them anymore.
Got any other pics you can post Formby? Would love to see those tan G&G wholecuts and some black pairs if you have time.
