Poor Col. Mustard, little does he realise that even daring to acknowledge that this alternative forum even exists, will get his banished from AAAC forever.

Anyway, Colonel, what watch are you looking to purchase?

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

With this whole Ambrosi business--I don't have the time or inclination to read all 78 or whatever pages on SF--has anybody wondered what happened to Foo that he let himself go to the point where his trouser waists needed to be enlarged by as much as 7cm? I mean, that's almost 3 inches! That's a helluva an increase, especially for a guy Foo's height. In the summer of 2008 because of certainly lifestyle changes, my waistline increased by about 1.5 inches from its usual size. At that point, I pushed the panic button and went on a regimen that got things back down to normal--and I am about a foot taller than Foo, so could carry the weight better. I know people here and elsewhere like to poke fun at him, but he's no dummy in my book, and I'm just surprised a guy with so fine a wardrobe wouldn't have made more of an effort to keep his bodily dimensions consistent rather than go the "slacker" route of alterations.

Can bespoke trousers even be let out 7cm, I wonder?

I would ask that someone do the commentary on the whole Ambrosia thing.  I don't want to read the posts but it is pretty good theater.  I would nominate Gilgamesh who is probably the best colour commentator here.  It really is pure drudgery to read and Gilgamesh's write ups are always more entertaining.

There is nothing more affirming in my mind, that someone is a twat, than hearing them discuss outfits for a funeral.

No, his missus is an art teacher. He's only along for the ride, which is lucky for him.

No one with his bland taste in suits, shirts and ties could have such an eye and enthusiasm for the arts.
