Sounds like my 2 recent purchases are post 2000.
Is there anyway to distinguish a makers from after 2000? While accepting the obvious collar size.
I mean a label or am i being a bit simplistic?
The labels nowadays are not like the labels of old afaik, therefore there must have been a point when the old labels were discarded. How convenient it would be if that was when the collars stopped being unlined (shudder).

I am really pissed because i have been looking for a tartan/plaid Brooks for weeks in a 17.5.
Which is why i keep posting shit on here,This one is a F**king 17.
Its got lots of writing on the label, a seven button placket and was made in the US.
It is my considered opinion that it was created sometime between the founding year of 1818 and yesterday.
Does 6/7 button include the top button?
yep!
^ In that case all of my BB shirts, including old Makers, are either 7 or 8 button. How will I ever leave the house again?
Snap, a half sleeve and nicer buttons and that could be a very cool shirt.
And if you ask me he's more like Robert Downy Junior with the emphasis on the Downy if you know what I'm getting at.

I'd hold on that AC I'm waiting for one like that above to be broken out of UK customs, if I don't like it, it could go in your maybe pile?
Also Jim? What remains of your Smoking Cat vintage?
...a shirt so nice he linked it twice.
That's a great plaid for winter.

D. All of the above and get a lifetime ban from the MFIT in the process.
We are no better than Fed Lounge really, but I think we always have an eye to the future here too, it is about making it work today, and tomorrow, and working out the bits that have timeless appeal. And bringing them forward. Ok well maybe that's just me, I don't want to live in an made up Ivy wonderland, I just want to try and look good, but beyond the reaches of fashion, Ivy is where I've found the majority of that influence, Italy the rest, and the UK.

'Poncho Bottom'?
As in 'a bad case of', judging by the statue...
$150 starting bids for an also ran brand. That's a joke.
I love the shirt, I'd wear it.... no pics of that poncho bum, mind. Shame.
