I've read this topic a few times, but I've never quite gotten a complete-what I mean is:Does T&A make
the trial shirts plus fittings?
My shirtmaker, M. Siviglia, makes two muslin shirts during his fitting process. In my case he didn't stop there though. During the 3rd fitting, he noticed he could improve the fit even further by introducing special features into the 1st actual shirt. These modifications required a new shirt; that 1st shirt was discarded.

I've heard nothing but great things about Sig. Siviglia's service and techniques.
He also seems to display my favorite characteristic of a great artisan-humility.
If one spends a few days in Rome, how soon can he get his first fitting?
Also, after the fitting shirt has been deemed an appropriate fit and the full order is processed, how long does it take to finish-say during his slow season, if he indeed has one, that is?
Given what T&A charges and the fact that they trade on their royal warrant for making "bespoke" shirts for the Prince of Wales, IMHO they should re-make the first shirt of the order until it is perfect.
Gieves & Hawkes has a presence in Tokyo in the Omotesando Hills complex, and offers custom shirts for which you get a fitting while the shirt is being constructed. Apparently, it only offers this service to selected customers to whom it sent mailings. I was going to try it, but at this point they can't compete with Ginza Tailor for price or service.
