Jacques Henri Lartigue was one of France's most renowned photographer (primarily portraits) although he was only discovered in the US by chance in his 70s. His prolific work was important because it formed an historical record of French society and the major changes during this period. This video focuses primarily on photos taken between the wars within the glamorous society set - several of his muses/lovers are shown. Lartigue's work was distinctly original and even today looks avant-garde.
