Just to put this to bed...

Mr. inanov can PM, as his PM to me earlier on today proved.

Common reasons for PMs not going through are usually because the 'subject' or title of them is too long (70 characters is the max) or because the person you are sending the PM to has a full inbox.

To manage your own PMs be aware that your messages will be saved in your 'Sent' section by default unless you click on the box to stop that happening each time.  Also that when you get up to 100% full in your PM area it is actually 100% full. Deleting your old stuff is just good housekeeping - You could always cut and paste it to somewhere else on your PC, like an email account, to keep the stuff, if you wish.
