Rangoon looks like suiting.
I haven't looked at the Rangoon lately, but you're right, Rangoon patterns, for the most part, are intended for suits. One exception is the navy blue cloth from the Rangoon range that my tailor recommended for the blue blazer he made for me (Rangoon is among his favorite). I'm happy he made the suggestion as it's my go-to blazer for even the warmest climates. It's lightweight yet durable enough to shed wrinkles very easily. Aside from blue cloth, if the Rangoon range offers any tan-colored cloth, I think it would work for a blazer, too.
The Riviera range from John Hardy is summer-weight and very nice...

Just found an online Rangoon book, but don't see anything in the tan range, unfortunately...

Other ideas might be found in the "customer pictures" section of O'Connell's website:
http://www.oconnellsclothing.com/customer_pictures.php
If you go through their 4 archived pics, you'll find some photos of their summer stock. There's something like 10 photos of probably 100 different jackets on racks. Though RTW offerings, might give you an idea or two.
and here, though I don't find all of them terribly attractive:

CHAMBRAY!
Edit: Love those O'Connells customer pics. A bit like the Japanese Ivy websites I can spend ages just feeding my soul checking through them. Nice stuff.

Chums,
I'm also ashamed to say that I've been thinking seriously about a pale blue summer sport coat. Of a linen/cotton variety.
this thread has prompted me to invest:

Something about the MOP buttons is no good though. I'd almost want to get a very light bone button.
Good thought - Almost-White/Pale-Pale-Blonde Bone is the way to go. IMVVVVHO.
Not related much, but a nice Ivy sight:

Is this their only Ivy Suit/Ivy Jacket at the moment?
I may be wrong.
