Yeah, technical, as in, polyester filled, nylon shell, unbreathable, barely shower-proof. Great. It's a paddock jacket, they kind of keep you warm to a degree. If it's cold get something down-filled and breathable.

Arrives unpressed and minimally packaged.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Plenty of inane PR hype on the decline of preppy here

They are just plugging the old over-priced designer labels.

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

Over at the Fedora Lounge real problems are usually pretty scarce--"is there anything more I can do to look like a clown?" "No, you are doing great. Don't change a thing."--unless of course Shooey comes along and pees in the pool. So here we have an actual dilemma--iGent's dad got married in Hawaii and now that he's back on the mainland he's having a reception.  Junior has heard that dad plans to wear the same Ed Hardy shirt and cargo pants that he was married in back there on the beach--I'm inclined to believe he simply hasn't changed clothes since then--and Junior wants to wear full iGent rig but worries about "outdressing" the old man. Interesting:
http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?67764-Not-Outdressing-My-Groom-of-a-Father

Nothing but problems today for the Hatters. Here's a lad from the antipodes who bought a shitload of shirts at an undisclosed foreign location. While ironing them back home he noticed a stain and is unsure about the best method to remove it, even though he apparently lives in a Janitor"s Closet at a local middle school: "I was considering soaking the shirt in bleach. Or perhaps using the stain-remover "Amodex" (which I have bottles of in my room)."

Good god, now they're buying Edward Greens!

Re: Inane Post of the Day 2012: The End of the Sartorial World Edition

I'm thinking along with my "How To Buy & Wear Shoes for American Men" book I should also collaborate with say gilgamesh, if hes still extant, on a book on "How to Wear Trousers and  Shirt For Weddings" - When its your father's 5th wedding or your first.

I heard on the radio the other day that the average Australian wedding now costs around $40,000. It was a small doco and the "reporter" priced two items exactly the same e.g. a Cake, suits, catering etc - one wedding / the other not labeled wedding - and there was a 100%+ differences in price.

Mind you knowing a few of the people who have done the special wedding thing - I'd think I'd charge "twice my normal fee*" if I had to "please" some of the idiots.

* small Spike Milligan reference.
