Are those guy at the Armoury Hong kong nuts?

Those guys keep showing off their bespoke clothes on their blog. First impression is nice until you find out the weather in Hong Hong even in late November is 27c. Can someone please tell how they manage to wear heavy tweed and flannel pants under this sort of  weather.

The Hong Kong men are also big shell cordovan freaks, especially cordovan in light tan. Maybe they are reptillians, just ask Patrick or David Icke, they know all about these type of things.

good point. Clothing for boys who like to spend their lives inside buildings. l like the H.K chaps and meet a few of them in time, they are good blokes and really keen about their stuff without getting stuffy about it.

It's nuts that the Armoury guys have changed Drakes ties. Nearly all of them in the Clifford Street store are now unlined and self-tipped like Rubinacci and Marinello. Are there enough Neapolitan fanboys in London to make up for the lost English customers?

That's why I say these Armoury guys must have good connection. Without them you can't imagine Liverano would have gotten such a big total of orders.

Apparently it's ditto HK. Liverano is literally traveling there every month.

They either have some kind of connection or at least somebody VERY liquid in the background OR they are all hat no cattle.
How many guys working at menswear stores do you know wearing all bespoke and rocking numerous watches in the 20k+ range?
Is the market in HK for classic menswear that big?

It's all bizarre but I sense that the power of the internet (SFetc) is pushing it not to mention the fact that HKG is still a powerhouse place with lotsa visitors and how many top mens' stores?

Re: Are those guy at the Armoury Hong kong nuts?

Have you read the magazine The Rake...?

They're all part of the same clique. It all has the faint aroma of 'Lifestyle'

The internet has raised the profile of hand crafted clothes hugely, there's a plethora of books, reviews and the like. The downside(?) is that you also get the attendant bandwagon merchants too.

I have mixed feelings about it all personally, being a bit of a snob but if it keeps these craftsmen in business, then it can only be a good thing.

Private Vices, Public Benefits kinda thing...

Are those Armoury and Rake guys the type of people that dance song Gangnam style mocked about?

I think their blog is one of the few with nice pictures and I generally like the stuff.
I don't mind the asian guys but that fat white one gives of a strange vibe. probably has a really attitude problem IRL

I think my student house had more charm, love the empty bottle of water on the floor really adds class to the place!
