I visited TKMaxx at Lakeside Thurrock a couple of weeks ago and they had plenty of Harris Tweed jackets for around £50 with different company labels inside. The market seems to be flooded with them. I was tempted but none looked quite right for me. I like the look of the Walmart offering.
They are a great price. Tweed coats used to sell for at least $400 about 12 years ago in one of Melbourne's most iconic stores (Fleture Jones).
The jackets seem to be only at a few stores. Since there are a gazillion stores, it requires some detective work. I'm going to take a look next week in the Washington, D.C. area, where there are two stores that have them that I know of.
This has also inspired a thread on Ask Andy that has a) info on stores b) info on jackets from people who have seen them and c) an extra-silly load of crap about Wal-Mart in general.

I dont think I would get a harris tweed jacket; might make a pea coat or polo overcoat from it though.
