I was determined not to make an overtly critical comment as my first post on the forum - so here's a neutral one.
The BBC have been showing a 3 part series about Claridges in London. I'm sure a couple of gentlemen who are sometimes (well in the case of one - often) discussed here appear in the third episode (the wedding sequences).
Those who can use the BBC iPlayer website still have time to have a look.
(hint - small but perfectly formed)
Whnay.
They looked a very handsome couple,
I was watching that series and spotted the guy getting married from some style boards ..who is this guy? Must have made some decent wedge in finance .. as claridges are operating in 2050 prices.
He explained he wanted to get married at claridges as he liked all things British..like tweed! Btw I find it interesting how people pick up on certain areas of British life ..what about pickled onions/bad pay/narrow minded bigotry/teen pregnency/rain/unfriendly people/credit fuelled conspicuous consumption etc etc..

Anyone know what this guys email address is? I recently got canned in finance..maybe he could hire me ..I could go through tweed swatch books for him while he is making oodles of cash and dining at claridges ..

I have watched the Claridges series on iPlayer. I saw the American wedding couple but did not know they were off the forums; though his comment that he liked places where he could wear a suit to eat dinner should have rung alarm bells.
Funny business the hotel game.
The management of the hotel are an interesting bunch. Maybe being gay is an asset in the hotel world. Half a dozen grown men obsessing for half an hour about a twenty quid alarm clock. Attention to detail? Or are they just a bunch of w***ers with nothing better to do all day?
Did nobody notice Mr Foo then? I even gave a hint.
Apart from that - Kingston1an - what's wrong with some of the management spending time choosing a clock? Better that than the 'we don't give a damn' attitude. Does it really mean they are gay & why does it bother you if one or all are?
I would say the general manager is gay simply from observation. The alarm clock issue is a different matter. Choosing a clock is not the sort of task that I would expect to demand so much attention from the higher echelons.
First, to view the rotten thing at all, I had to upgrade my flash. Then, it told me the iplayer video is only available in the UK! Whats the point of having iGent royalty if their adoring fans cannot fawn all over them?
I watched the documentary without knowing the guy at the end of the third video. He was a rather sorry figure--thinking that Claridges proved he had "arrived". Arrived from where and to what, I wonder?
Pathetic fellow in love with status and class. Although he was quite British when it came to teeth
