Re: evolution of taste in dressing

Now that the effusiveness of being near family and friends has worn off I can be more sober in my thoughts.

You are not confident, you are an idiot. I read your posts about why men do what they do, you should leave the thinking to people better equipped to do so. Suiting is a formula, it is incredibly easy and most men do not live in fear of getting it right but dread having to wear one at all. Think about that you suited bumpkin.

Purple, pink stripes--can be nice, but they wouldn't be so bold to really notice in passing. The only person who knows you have them are yourself and maybe someone inexperienced enough to think you aren't a boring class chasing fool.

And as for association, in real life we would never rub shoulders. This doesn't include me, but my peers dress down intentionally and consistently...I wondered why when I was younger but now I know, they don't feel they have anything to prove to others. Class is not just a factor, it is a key determinant in dress

Cheers my friend!

If one says something idiotic the label idiot applies most appropriately. This isn't the "be nice" area.

Re: evolution of taste in dressing

Tailoring is not easy, the rules for formal menswear do not equate to the art of cutting a suit, the only person that is coming over as a complete dunce is you. I'm not sure you're really succeeding in anything here other than being a complete twat, if that was your objective however, I can't fault you.

Re: evolution of taste in dressing

Are you apprenticing as a tailor? Knowing how to dress and knowing how to make your clothes are different things. I don't care to learn to make clothes since it would be a huge waste of my time and effort...yes, making clothes is more difficult than wearing them.

Filmnoir may be a comically stiff social climber, but you are a ninny.

Re: evolution of taste in dressing

Well then by the very means that making a suit is difficult, acquiring one and dressing in one is also difficult. It takes a certain amount of care, knowledge and research. The onus to which ever of us is a ninny is back on your shoulders. To be well dressed is not easy, and to care for it is a person's choice. You obviously feel as though a more laid back approach gives you superiority over those that do care, I don't go in for a lot of the BS FNB goes on about, all though it seems to be of an importance to him, to me clothes are design, and design and visual beauty matter to some people, if they don't to you, go and do something else.
