Re: What have you bought in the sales?

whats this tall blonde like then briggs? might have to go in soon to have a look wink

cordings tweed jackets look ok from what ive seen of them although they seem to be 3 button with a very high lapel .. not much roll to the lapel either so guessing these are fused jobs? anyone wear one of these out and about? i usually wear a 1 button jacket with a lower than usual button placement so you get quite a flamboyent roll from this setup of the lapel which i usually have cut far wider than usual ..

Re: What have you bought in the sales?

^^ We do appear to have similar tastes. The tweed suits are indeed "a strong look" - "go to hell" as the Americans say. I tend to wear them in gentlemen's clubs (where they attract approving comments) and good country pubs.

There are few jacket left in the Cording's sale. The dark blue Harris tweed is unusual and worth considering. It looks good in town with cords and dark jeans.

If you want a cheap jacket for knocking about in, I recommend waiting to the end of Roderick Charles sale when the jackets (Lovat Mill tweed) can go as low as £99 to £150.

The preference for scrutinizing is a fault?

I thought you were a plastic surgeon, do the little blemishes not bother you?...maybe you just cut and suck and stitch for the money and don't believe you are doing any good...which if the case, I respect your honesty

Re: What have you bought in the sales?

^ thanks for the tip mate ..

i picked up a green tweed jacket from autin reed in the sale .. dark mossy green herringbone .. im wondering if i can pair it with blue bengal / candy striped shirts without making it clash .. sharpness of the shirts with the rustic country green tweed may not work .. thoughts?

Yeah and failing that go and treat yourself to a tattersall. You can't lose.

You upset because I said plastic surgeons dress like high end LA real estate agents?

Do you dress like my real estate agent?

Re: What have you bought in the sales?

Well, how would you know I am a disappointment to myself? I would certainly be disappointed in myself if I was a plastic surgeon though. As a man with a love for suits you must also have a taste for prestige and status--Do you not resent the eye rolling you get from the real doctors? That probably does not matter to you though, and it shouldnt. Make that cheddar, make it rain--keep your extended family away from gang life.

Anyways, you should not be so transparent in trying to provoking me.

I have never once been angry...I am a happy guy. I do like to disagree though. As for filmnoir, that fellow is just a straight up idiot...not to mention the sad fact that he can barely afford his suiting.

Re: What have you bought in the sales?

chevere .. i would cut my losses with this one ..

thanks bishop .. interesting .. might have dismissed the combination prematurely ..

i see C&J website says that theres a sale on in their shops .. the popularity of C&J these days might mean the sale stock is picked over before i geta chance to go have a look, in the past it seems they only sell off seconds / discontinued models (very few lines are discontinued with C&J) so may just be this same old story ..

Sorry to get in the way - I just kicked his arse yet again & he's currently enjoying a breakdown elsewhere. I'll bring him back soon.

I merely write these things for him to read and get even more crazy over...  wink
