If he is discussing race then his speech may be racist.
We were read 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' in primary school. I doubt that happens now. We probably learnt what a 'piccaninny' was too. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn were on the reading list too.
There does not seem to be any malice against the 'piccaninny' any more than the routine use of 'darky' to describe West Indians in West London in the 1950s.

I think we're all in agreement that a demographic revolution has been imposed and as recent court cases have shown, not all the effects of unbridled immigration are positively reinvigorating and enriching the moribund local culture. And not only in Blighty.

Frost refers to 'coloured' people. 'Coloured' is not used now. I am not sure if 'Afro Caribbean' is OK. I was pulled up on that one I think it may be 'African Caribbean'. It changes over time. 'Negro' is definitely out.

Extremists do tend to take over PC beliefs. At my place of work the 'offensive' terms change so quickly it's hard to keep track. What was an acceptable euphemism last year is a vicious slur this week...... There is a level of wooly mindedness involved which leads to claims that 'gypsy' is no longer an appropriate term - if only someone would tell the gypsies, who are proud of their heritage.

Going back to the thread's subject, I had guessed that Mrs Cameron chose the PM's holiday and casual clothes (Boden?). He used to dress like a country gent (tweeds etc) at weekends.
However, I suspect that his PR advisers choose his "work" wardrobe. It is the classic international politician look - dark blue suit, white shirt, plain tie and black shoes. Obama dresses in the same way as did Dubya Bush and Sarkozy. His shirts collars have a tendency to curl at the edges.
Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

SamCam's choices for him are pretty unimaginative - surprising given her designer credentials. I like the Sunspel blue polo (I assume that this was the one referred to?) as much as the next man, but it's pretty bland with blue jeans.
P.S. Looking at the photo in the telegraph article I am pretty sure the blue polo is a Sunspel

^ IIRC Cameron had at least one bespoke suit made by Richard James when he was Leader of the Opposition. It appears that he wears it for major speeches and important events. Photos suggest that he has RTW suits, possibily from RJ too. They don't fit like bespoke.
