Well, thurston had no problem being associated with Gekko after the first film.  It says so on their website.

Seems that not wearing a suit and tie is more the norm for hedge fund guys, from what I see.  Wearing casual clothes symbolizes financial independence (fuck you money)  Maybe different on Wall St but not so in Greenwich.
