Put me down for the lime!
I'd say the saturation is pretty bumped up on that stuarts pic.

We've been digging in the same holes Ville. LOL.
Liam,
That is a great example of a reverse tag from levi's.
It was used quite a lot in the late 60's by them until the introduction of the little 'e'.
The 'red on white' tag is probably the hardest to find on jeans, reserved for their 'western' range ( an attempt at stealing Wranglers share of the market ) it was only in production for a very short time and they just reverted to selling 501's into that market. Tho' jackets carried on with that label for a few more years.
Ah, Liam beat me to it
When they were introduced in 1961, they were just called "Slim Fits". According to Levi's, kids started to call them "white levi's" because no one knew what to call blue jeans that weren't blue.
Yup, always too small eh chaps, even for us smaller chaps. That tee is a belter Ville, will have a goose at the new site.
Love the bomber. It is the spitting image of your vintage effort. Scarily similar in fact. I wonder if Levi's have been looking at The Weejuns blog....
Like the t shirt. The neck line has always ruined the LVC t shirts for me. That's the one thing that marks them out from vintage west coast styles... and the length of them, but that can be altered.
The 519's.... hmmm, the rise isn't good, is it? Also the taper! What happened? These are another step down from the previous styles which were in turn lesser than the originals. Very boring, not much of anything about them at all.
I'd like to see them on a model to get a better idea of fit but from that shot I am not interested in these at all.

Looks like a really narrow thigh
I was only messing really. Not that it isn't impossible Levi's have been snooping about blogs and making decisions based on that.
I actually saw a very similar one to yours on Etsy a month or so back. Way too big for me though.
Great images too btw.

The more I think about it, it seems very obvious that the people at Levi's are keeping a very close eye on the stuff I post over the internet. The t-shirt, for example, I'm sure they copied from that vintage Jantzen I posted here a few months ago. They just changed the colorway, the sneaky bastards.
It wouldn't surprise me if the had your IP tapped, monitoring everything going in and out for information on future trends.
I'm starting to sound like the Shooman!
Those new LVC bits don't look too good in the photos, so I would need to see the new stuff in the flesh to make any kind of judgement.
They did a shitty job of photoing/promoting the 505's and Bedford cords when they launched them, so I wouldn't be surprised if these turn out to be alright.
We can expect more stripey tees and the like from them in the near future as they are rumoured to be involved in that new Beach Boys/Brian Wilson bio-pic, as are Pendleton Woolen Mills.
Looks like very bad photoshop on those 518's - very odd indeed. Agree Acton, best to have a look in the flesh. Any idea of prices?
