A really fairdinkum aussie song using the typical worldclass accent we are known for (not a strong accent, but a typical mild accent many have).

Box players.
After hearing Austrian accordions in mountain restaurants while sipping a wheat beer, which was fine in that context(as is yodelling) I revisited the vintage 1950s and 60s Irish players. Particularly tracks featuring the old Paolo Soprani boxes with musette tuning. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/sean_quinn/psoprani/psoprani5.htm

'The 70s incarnation of The King, is one I've never really explored and I can still remember the concerts that were shown on British telly in the period that just showed a bloated mess who struggled to remember the lines to the songs. But I've always liked his films and the soundtracks, although the critics don't agree with me, but my kids do.
Anyway, it's a period I won't be neglecting in future, I won an auction on ebay for 22 cassettes of Elvis in his regal best, the 70s!

All the stuff wot I should of learnt at school. Our music teacher just made you sing to see if you were fit to be in the school choir. Then it was copying boring notes about Mozart etc. from a blackboard and him showing off on a grand piano. We had a year of the recorder as well, but I managed to get away with miming while other pupils played the tunes.

R.I.P. Alvin Lee from Ten Years After.
I first saw him when the movie Woodstock first hit the screens and was electrified.

I really, really hated Ten Years After. Big fights at school to get sort of crap off the record player in the common room.
Kenny Ball died today. 'Sunday Night at the London Palladium' and 'Morecambe & Wise' regular.
