Seems like the people wearing the most suits around NYC are the young ones.

I prefer Bowie's version
It may be true in New York, but over hear the yoof is in gangsta rap mode.
For every 1 young person I see dressed in a suit, or jacket, there are countless others dressed in pure nonsense. And then, even those that are trying, inevitably miss the boat somewhere. It'll be vintage 3 button tweed jacket, skinny tie, skin tight black low rise jeans, converse. Then maybe you'll have Red Wing Boots, Levi's 501s, (things are looking good) then a weird band t shirt and a baseball cap. The train always runs off the rails somewhere.
^That much is true, because few people have the discipline to stay with the confines of rules and then when confident break the rules in one decisive area for full effect. The same with poetry.
Women are no better, I had a friend over from South Africa at the North Sea Jazz Festival last summer and after a couple of days, out of the blue he said "These Dutch women are quite attractive, shame they look like the jumble all their clothes together and then pick what they are wearing at random. And why do they all wear winter boots in summer?" That made me chuckle.
